Our work as a criminal defense firm grew out of a long relationship with Austin and the University of Texas community. Long before we opened our doors, our founding attorney spent his college years on the UT Austin campus, saw how local leaders supported students during challenging moments, and knew he wanted to contribute to this city in a meaningful way.

Today, we continue that commitment by staying present in the communities we serve. We focus on being a steady resource for people facing serious legal issues, especially young adults who may be dealing with the legal system for the first time.

Rooted in the UT Austin Community

Lance Kennedy is a Longhorn. He spent his college years on the UT Austin campus, and it was there that he fell in love with the city, its culture, and the energy that makes Austin what it is. That connection never faded, and it's part of why he built his practice here rather than somewhere else. Becoming an attorney in Austin gave him a real avenue to contribute back to the city that shaped him, and Lance Kennedy Law is a proud member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce as one way we stay involved.

Those roots shape how we approach our role today. When we meet with students, recent graduates, and families, we remember what it feels like to be new to the city, to campus life, and to the legal system.
